What’s a Pest?
According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a pest can be defined as an epidemic disease associated with high mortality (specifically, a plague), something destructive such as a plant or animal harmful to human interests, or simply a nuisance that annoys or disturbs. In the context of urban living, the most relevant definitions are those related to destruction and nuisance.
